Ushaiqer Heritage Village, north-west of Riyadh in the oasis country of Najd, keeps the old way of building in mud brick among palm gardens, and gives, in Visit Saudi’s words, a glimpse of a slow-paced Saudi society of old. It makes a quiet half-day after the city.
